  • Thank you. Worked a treat for me too. Mine was shutting down but leaving the power light on and the fan running. The machine is never turned off but because of Covid19 I've brought the machine home and shut it down for the first time. Thank you.

  • Neither option worked for me. 🙁 When the laptop runs on battery, the computer turns off between 7-8 minutes and the battery level is about 50%. Starnge.

  • I have this shutdown problem but mine is a PC. I changed my old motherboard for a new one and my Pc keeps shutting down when i tried to play "heavy games" like Destiny 2. Just changed the motherboard, everything else still the same. Also, i do not think that it's overheating because i have the GPU fan on maximum, the processor fan on maximum and another one to pull the hot air out of the Pc.

  • Hi, Thanks for the insight on the power issue.
Mine was I turned on my computer and It would turn off and stay off until I push the power button a second time. It would run fine till I re-started using (Windows 10 pro 1809 update) it would shut down then re-start again until I shut it down. Then I turned it on the next day same issue… I think that version Windows 10 1809 is a good software, until it updates the first or second one from the internet.
    Thanks again!
