  • Hey, I'm on a Dell laptop. FYI for other poor souls with these hellish machines.
Apparently Dell decided to rework this and have MaxxAudio run over Realtek stuff. Not sure how or why this works, but now you know. MaxxAudio provides one tenth of the options of Realtek software. You might want to uninstall it first.
I came here because it was not recognizing anything I put into my 3.5mm jack. Opening god damn WAVES(R) by MaxxAudio Pro and adjusting settings there helped, eventually. Good luck everyone

  • Hi, I have this problem with my earphone, I connected my earphone in the headphone port on my computer, when I go on discord with my friend, my mic doesn’t work but if I connect my earphone to the mic port, I cannot talk and hear. Do you have any possible solution to that problem? I want to be able to talk and hear at the same time

  • Right, so the main issue I have is that I upgraded to windows 10 from 7 and through the Realtek Audio manager could switch audio devices on the fly, unplugging one and firing in another etc, in 10 I can't do this but all I can find online is the drivers, anyone know where the manager can be found or if it's even Windows 10 compatible?

  • To all my friends that are out there and still searching for a solution. I just wanna share my proccess real quick.
I spend hours in the device manager trying to get new drivers update etc. The videos I watched didnt really help. I even resetet my complete Windows. But it didnt work.
Today, in the evening I unplucked the power cable from my laptop(it usually is always there for gaming…) And as I woke up, the laptop only started after putting it on again and after a automatic installation it was back to freaking normal. Sound is there, drivers, realtek… everything. I dont know in the slightest what happend, but im happy that i didnt send mine back to the shop after 3 days of hard try and error. I have no clue how a power cable could have any effect on that, but maybe it was just somehting during the repeated process of restarting the laptop. Well, anyways, Best of luck to all of you out there. I know what it feels O.o.

  • ive tried everything. I went to the website and downloaded the files. I tried with 7zip and it showed errors. I tried to make a cab file to add with DISM and it said files were corrupt. I have an Imac27 mid 2011. I deleted osx and only have windows 10 without any sound. This is for my son to play some games on. I'm stuck. Anything else? and yes ive tried all the super basic stuff. driver update/rollback/settings checkit shows as if the sound is working fine. but no sounds are being made. I can talk into a headphone and it shows as if it is picking up sound but with nothing
