Ok so live does NOT mean no autotune. You can autotune live as long as your using a mic. Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Adele, and Shawn Mendez are all using autotune in the live clips as well. You can absolutely hear the electronic warble in their voices as it corrects the pitch. Bieber's autotune is so egregious on his live clip I don't even want to know what that would have sounded like without it. Funny enough Selena Gomez is using it too but either she is singing in the wrong key or the autotune is set to the wrong key making her super flat.
I don't know why Swift or Mendez are bothering though. On their clips you can only hear it for a couple seconds when they hold a note or do a slide. It would be so much better without it! Autotune kills all the emotion that the occasional sharp or flat adds.
