So after 2 years since orders in the US began, Aussies finally get their hands on the new RHD Tesla Model 3. Is it the world changing Ford Model T of this Century? We (Nick) thinks it’s pretty dam close! The 3 has ground breaking tech at this price point (73k AUD on road) huge space, low maintenance costs and we believe un-matched rolling performance from 40-100kph, amazing for everyday merging and overtaking (we will be using dragy app for future reviews). Well professed quality issues did not come to our attention on the drive from the interior/exterior nor did we have any other problems to note. Concerning driving experience, we were hugely impressed with how the car manages broken road, potholes and like whilst maintaining such a brilliant lack of body roll through the turns. The steering is of course playstation-eque but expected for the cars purpose. The only large gripe is with the 15″ centre screen, whilst being the fastest, clearest and most intuitive GPS we have used, the placement is distracting whilst driving making Nick whinge for a mini heads up display for speed. Having a taste of the standard range 3 has given us an urge to drive the Full blown performance dual motor AWD version, a large price hike with supercar 0-100kph times and track mode! Stayed tuned!

The doors require people over 180cm to fold in half. Its camry sized yet doors front and rear are not made for tall people
Are they in keysborough????
What exactly is the cred of those two teens? Seems I just wasted 20 min for no good reason.
Would you know how many Tesla's have sold in Australia?
the headlamps remind me of a futuristic porsche but the rear looks like shit
There should definitely be a heads up screen in the middle where the steering wheel as well at least the speed it would be much nicer
I ordered mine while Black was the free colour, black on black on black looks meaner than white
Check out the cool replacement steering wheels at Carbontastic.
When did you order it and when did you take delivery?
OK but you can pick up a Hyundai Ionic 38kW for 52k. 311km range (more like 270km real world so about 120km less than a Model 3), not nearly as good acceleration as a Tesla, nowhere near, but 20k cheaper. If price is an issue, that's a big difference.
Tesla Model 3 is just not close enough to the 30-40k range that most people buy sedans at (eg Toyota Camry etc.) But true, over the long term it's competitive, because of way less maintenance, and if war ever breaks out in the Middle East, you're sweet!
Youtube will be there for you when you have to wait to charge your car.
Did you find floor mats for it in Aus? Only ones I can find is through tesla and they are out of stock, all others are LHD ones.
Do it have the PWS?
there are other fast charging stations not just teslas superchargers
Nice video guys! It must be so weird driving a car that doesn’t make any noise!
Does it come with floor mats?
A Cayman/Boxster has 2 boots 😉
You'll love the big size screen once you get the v10 software update. Netflix, youtube,.. (and the games)… it's awesome for when you do have to spend a couple minutes at a supercharger. There's now lots of cars that have more screens but none (save for the Model X and S) have bigger screens. All these other cars have weirdly formed screens to simulate gauge clusters – so they can't be used (sensibly) for other things like watching movies. I feel Tesla is just so smart about what (and what not…and whatnot) they put in their cars. They always think three steps ahead.
Tbf, you don't need to rely on Tesla superchargers, any place with a plug will do, third-party charging stations, or just at home will also work.
That’s a nice looking Mazda…..
Alex Choi has the performance 3….. out of his cars… it's his favourite, crazy huh. He did a review with Shmee150 on that car. It's quite cool the amount of options you can do on that screen and he runs his from the App. The car recognizes your near the car and opens for you and so on…. Do you know the fart option…. hilarious. And play games too on the screen.
Anyways, great fun vlog again. Nice work.
If you can for different view with performance package, check out chois vid… I do like. I too am a Tesla virgin lol.
put it you in your chair or?
do you feel in this car a amazing feeling that you going fast?
Hey i saw my comment….so can i say i have featured in one of your videos? Haha
Bring on Hybrid in my eyes but full electric lacks soul and is a little meh for me but i havent been in one either. Autonomous driving would be cool for monotonous drives though.
Nick reminded me of salomondrins old “trunk challenges”. Great review on the model 3. A very interesting car that has many mixed opinions. I was never a Tesla fanboy but I’m a big fan of the model 3. The centre screen if a big problem though. At least a head up display would make this better. I think I would have this over a c class or 3 series personally
Gooooooooooooood review however you can pick up a 2019 c43 from the dealer for 110k
A base C class is 60k
But with petrol savings etc it's definitely on par with base c class, 3 series etc
Have you filmed the video about Zak Riley's 488 Pista yet?
